Social ResponsibilityIt is the RAGRC’s aim to contribute to uplifting the lives of Filipinos. Its review programs have helped nurses pass foreign nurse licensure examinations and work abroad. Through the Ray A. Gapuz Foundation, it has provided numerous college scholarships to students all over the country. To date, it has produced a cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila and the highest rater in the June 2005 Nurse Licensure Examination – Jonna Bucud, an R.A. Gapuz Scholar. Through its fund raising activities like concert productions, the RAGRC was able to contribute to local organizations like Philippine Nurses Association (Panagsinan), Dagupan Jaycees and Metro-Dagupan Chamber of Commerce. The RAGRC has provided franchises mostly to nurses and their families, and generating more employment to new graduates. The RAGRC is now supporting the government’s project to push entrepreneurship for a better Philippine economic setting. It has provided avenues to common people , nurses and their families to invest into enterprises to help them more economically independent. Earlier this year, the RAGRC’s program – “EntrepTEENS” was launched to increase awareness of young individuals in entrepreneurship. |
